Carlshead Care farm is a not-for-profit organisation based on a 500 acre working farm in Lower Wharfedale. We combine the care of the land and animals with the care of people
Spending a day at Carlshead Care Farm can have an amazing effect. You will have the opportunity to feed and look after the animals and work in the walled garden. We don’t focus on the things you can’t do but rather on the things you can do. Your achievements, physical work you have done and bonds you have made with your new community will make you feel better about yourself. You will notice your appetite, mood and sleeping patterns start to improve as a result of coming to the farm.
Carlshead Care Farm offers you the opportunity to do meaningful work in a supportive, therapeutic environment. You will learn new skills and become prepared for “being at work” in a safe environment.
